Continuing representation of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe in their Nonintercourse Act claims against the State of New York

Negotiated settlement of land claims of the Seminole Tribe of Florida against the State of Florida

Successfully defeated attempt of one tribe to prevent another tribe's land acquisition under a restoration act

Represented the Miccosukee Tribe in a claim against the Florida Department of Transportation regarding illegal use of easements

Assisted the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut and the Susanville Rancheria in placing lands into federal trust

Represented Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation in establishing that an area opened to settlement in 1910 was still part of the Reservation

Typical Assignments

Assist tribes in navigating the complex regulatory framework to place land into federal trust

Represent tribes before administrative boards and federal courts regarding reservation boundaries and land claims under the Nonintercourse Act

Represent tribes in negotiating for surplus federal lands
