The law firm of Hobbs, Straus, Dean & Walker,
LLP is dedicated to providing high quality legal services, including
advocacy before federal, state and local governments, agencies
and courts, to Indian and Alaska Native tribes and tribal organizations
throughout the United States. We opened our Washington, D.C.
home office in 1982, and now have locations in Portland, Oregon,
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Sacramento, California, as well.
Our current clients include tribes, tribal
organizations, and individual Indians in all regions of the United
States, including Alaska. We have also provided legal and legislative
services to national Indian organizations such as the National
Congress of American Indians and Americans for Indian Opportunity
as well as to national and regional Indian organizations representing
the education, housing, health, child welfare, and gaming interests
of Indian tribes and Indian people.
Since 1982, the Firm has more than tripled
in size from its initial five attorneys to its current staff
of 26 attorneys, 3 legislative specialists, and 7 experienced
Of-Counsel attorneys. We believe this growth reflects our clients'
satisfaction with the Firm's ability to address a wide variety
of legal, legislative, and regulatory needs, and our dedication
to advancing the interests of Indian Country.
