Lisa F. Ryan
Of Counsel
Ms. Ryan began her legal career with the Washington, DC,
law firm of Wilkinson, Cragun & Barker in 1981, where
she worked with Indian clients primarily on matters pertaining
to natural resource development. Following several years in
private practice, she joined the U.S. Department of Justice
Lands and Natural Resources Division, where she represented
the government in environmental cases in federal appellate
and district courts. She joined the Firm in 1999, where she
has worked primarily with Indian schools on a range of issues.
In recent years, Ms. Ryan has done extensive volunteer work
as a member of the Board of Trustees for a private educational
institution.
Ms. Ryan graduated from Notre Dame Law School (cum laude)
in 1981 and received her Bachelor’s degree in English
Language and Literature from the University of Virginia (magna
cum laude) in 1976. She is a member of the District of Columbia
bar.
