The law firm of Hobbs, Straus, Dean & Walker,
LLP is dedicated to providing high quality legal
services, including advocacy before federal, state
and local governments, agencies and courts, to
Indian and Alaska Native tribes and tribal organizations
throughout the United States. We opened our Washington,
D.C. home office in 1982, and now have locations
in Portland, Oregon, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and
Sacramento, California, as well.
Our current clients include tribes, tribal organizations, and individual Indians in all regions of the United States, including Alaska. We have also provided legal and legislative services to national Indian organizations such as the National Congress of American Indians and Americans for Indian Opportunity as well as to national and regional Indian organizations representing the education, housing, health, child welfare, and gaming interests of Indian tribes and Indian people.
Since 1982, the Firm has more than tripled
in size from its initial five attorneys to its current staff
of 26 attorneys, 3 legislative specialists, and
7 experienced Of-Counsel attorneys. We believe
this growth reflects our clients' satisfaction
with the Firm's ability to address a wide variety
of legal, legislative, and regulatory needs, and
our dedication to advancing the interests of Indian Country.
